National Basic Livelihood Security

Foreign residents may also benefit from this.

Applicable object

If you are a foreigner who meets the following criteria and meet the criteria of income recognition and support obligation, you may be eligible for National Basic Livelihood Security Benefits.
  • If you or your spouse are pregnant or are raising minor children of enrean nationality (including divorce or death of your spouse)
  • If you are living or living with your spouse's immediate family (parent, grandparent, etc.)

  • A person who is divorced from a spouse who is a enrean national or whose spouse has died and is caring for a parent or child of enrean nationality
  • Persons recognized as refugees under Article 2, Paragraph 2 of the Refugee Act
  • A person who has suffered a fire, a crime, or a natural disaster without his own fault
  • Any other person who the Minister of Health and Welfare deems urgent assistance necessary
  • A person who has suffered from a disaster or the like without his own fault
  • Humanitarian residents under Article 2 of Article 2 of the Refugee Act.
